Studying and designing a Smart City Platform for the management of municipal assets in pilgrim cities (Integrated Cloud Command and Control Center)

In light of the spread of smart city applications and growing reliance on pertinent technologies, the pilgrim cities (Makkah, Madinah, Jeddah, Taif, and Jamoum) will require a command and control center as part of an integrated cloud command and control center at the Kingdom level that is efficient for managing all aspects of smart city projects and assets. All smart city components, such as smart security cameras, smart parking lots, first responders, traffic and congestion management, smart waste management, smart water solutions, and smart street lighting, are managed and operated in this manner.

* To ensure that each city has a center and that those centers are all connected through an integrated cloud command and control center at the highest level of command and control, it is proposed that this project include regional city management at the Kingdom level.

The initiative includes the study, design, development, and implementation of a smart city platform for managing smart infrastructure municipal assets and developing an integrated set of applications that manage all activities in the pilgrim cities (Makkah, Madinah, Jeddah, Taif and Jamoum), ensure the flow of activities, traffic and services provided in the city, deal with incidents immediately in real-time and obtain unified KPIs through which officials can assess the overall service provided in cities. The initiative's key applications are as follows:

Cleaning Management Application; Emergency Management Application; Service Area Management Application; Reporting and Communication Management Application; Hajj Environment Management Application; Traffic Dynamic Mapping Application; Pilgrims & Umrah Performers’ Tracking and Guidance Management Application; Hajj Smart Gate Application; Hajj Asset Management Application; and Supply, Installation, Operation and Provision of Self-Service Channels.
